This Taoist stillness practice is a simple way to access a deeply meditative state, which neurologically shifts your brainwaves into the slower, more relaxed alpha and theta. These states decrease muscle tension, heart rate and blood pressure, which is great for reducing stress (and for manifestation). There are tangible energy pathways in the body and points where these pathways converge to bring different forms of energy together. The one you’ll be connecting to in this practice is called the Celestial Gate, where the subtle celestial chi meets the earth chi of the body itself – an energetically charged point and an inner resource for you.
